Shirebrook Colliery Memorial Monument
You will hopefully be aware that the Shirebrook Colliery Memorial Committee have worked tirelessly in recent years to raise funds to create a monument for Shirebrook Colliery on our market square.
The project is now coming to fruition and installation works have now started.

Now that the consultation has closed for the above project, an independent count will be held at Shirebrook Village Hall on Friday 3rd March at 5pm.

The Electoral Commission - Voter ID Guide
The UK Government has introduced a requirement for voters to show photo ID when voting at a polling station at some elections. This new requirement will apply for the first time in England at the local elections on Thursday 4 May 2023.
The Electoral Commission has created a guide on the introduction of Voter ID.
