Warmer Derby & Derbyshire

Householders in Derby and Derbyshire with a broken or faulty boiler are being urged to contact a free helpline, run a by a local charity in partnership with local authorities in the area, to see if they are eligible for financial help with a new boiler.

Residents who on a low income and in receipt of certain benefits, can contact Warmer Derby & Derbyshire on 0800 677 1332 or by emailing wdd@mea.org.uk, to find out about government grants towards replacement boilers.

Caroline Harmon, of Marches Energy Agency, the charity which runs Warmer Derby & Derbyshire, said:

'Autumn is here and the weather is starting to turn. If you think you may struggle to keep warm in the cold weather, please don't delay in getting in touch to see if we can help.'

Warmer Derby & Derbyshire is a free energy helpline offering impartial advice on how to stay warm at home, afford energy bills and be more energy efficient. It is run by Midlands-based charity Marches Energy Agency and funded by the Energy Redress Fund. Home visits are also available for those who need more help.
