Shirebrook Health Centre - Walk-in Covid Vaccination Service (21/8/21)

Shirebrook Health Centre are offering a walk-in Covid vaccination service – no appointments necessary – for anyone who is 16 or over, this Saturday.

It is open to everyone who has turned 16 or even those who turn 16 on Saturday. People can just turn up – they don't need to bring ID/proof of age with them as all that is checked during the quick registration process once they arrive. People don't need to live locally either to come along for a jab, although they hope this makes it convenient for local Shirebrook residents to attend. The best news for most 16 and 17 year olds is they only need the one jab (no need for second doses in this age group).

In addition to offering this session to 16 and 17 year olds, they'd also welcome anyone of 18 and over – any adults - who haven't had a first jab yet. they can also give second doses to over-18s but these must be given at least eight weeks after their first doses (please don't turn up sooner as they won't be able to give you the second vaccination any sooner than eight weeks – this is in line with national guidance).

Walk-in Covid-19 vaccination clinic at Shirebrook Health Centre, 17 Patchwork Row, Shirebrook, Mansfield NG20 8AJ, for anyone aged 16 and over, this Saturday 21 August from 9.30am – 4.30pm. No appointment necessary, please just turn up!

Single dose only required for 16 – 17 year olds (unless you're within three months of your 18th birthday) so you can get it all done in one go!

First and second doses are also available - second doses can only be given to those who had their first dose at least eight weeks ago.
